Hello lovelies! I hope 2018 is treating you well. The past 2 months have been crazy, so please forgive my silence. I devoted myself to the Cape Town Natural Hair Fest and my family during the Dec/Jan vacation, and I am finally getting into the swing of things. I did however get to do a few fun things like meet a few of you and hang out with my #curlcrush, Eleanor J’adore. We even got to do a photo-shoot with Tegan Smith.
The Cape Town Natural Hair fest was mind-blowing! I was in awe of the support of the natural hair community, despite the wind playing havoc on our festivities. I will load the video on my YouTube channel as soon as it’s ready. For pics, you can click here The event was a clear indication that:
- The “movement” is definitely growing
- Cape Town is the place to be when it comes to natural hair events in South Africa
- The support in the Cape Town Naturally group is phenomenal – We can’t thank you enough
- I need to continue designing and manufacturing t-shirts for my #Bossiekop label (I wanted to quit – thanks for your support)
- We need a bigger venue!
After the festival we took a trip to a place called Gariepdam in the Free State, to spend Christmas with Maurice’s family. You can check out the video here:
I got back to my 9 to 5 mid January and not long after that, Cape Town Naturally announced that our next event will be on the 7th of April at the Royal Cape Yacht Club!! Tickets open on Wednesday the 7th of February.
I’m so excited to announce that my t-shirts and vests are now being sold on a made to order basis. Including kiddies sizes from 2 – 14 years.
