The “Sisters” have landed

Dedicating my time and energy to the Cape Town Hair & Beauty Show has it’s benefits y’all (#justsaying). Last Friday was a topnotch kinda day – I received a box filled with products to review from our exhibitor III Sisters Of Nature

Let me be honest, I am always a bit nervous when it comes to trying out new products on my hair because I am kinda set on things I like – I am rather old school that way. III Sisters of Nature’s tag line is ” The “Cleaner” Hair Care Products though – That got me rather excited as there aren’t many products natural sisters can turn to in South Africa. We often find ourselves compromising on something. III Sisters packaging is rather simple with bright colours. They state very clearly on each container that you won’t find alcohol, carbomers, silicones, sulphates, waxes, formaldehyde or minerals in their products.

I used the Coconut Co-Wash on my hair and I can sum up my review in one word – “DAAAMN!”
Sisters curls are popping, so soft and she is simply just working her hair right about now. So in love with this one for my 3c/4a hair.

We used the Sweet Honeyrose Treatment on the kids hair. She said her hair felt hard while the treatment was on, but it softened her 4c hair quite beautifully. I kept reading the ingredients to make sure there weren’t any chemicals in it because it just felt so good! (Definitely all natural ingredients)

The tattoo is fake. Kids!

The products smell okayish but they all smell the same to me though. Other than that I am perfectly satisfied with what it is currently doing for our hair. The Sweetrose treatment and Coconut Co-wash both get 2 snaps in a full circle from both me and The Kid.

Now here’s what you want to know:

The product ranges from R75 – R120
It is currently only available in Johannesburg at Candi and Co (sniff sniff) but…
Do not fret, Cape Town – you can stock up at The Cape Town Hair & Beauty Show. Yay!

Here’s what I’m going to do:

Comment below by telling me your number one rule in keeping your hair healthy, and you could win a III Sisters of Nature sulphate shampoo and leave in conditioner. Oh what the heck, I’ll throw in a treatment too. Good Luck and as always…

Stay Gold,

My number one rule for keeping my hair healthy is to moisturize, moisturize and moisturize.

I have a mixed set of curls, 4a & 4b. I have tried alot of products but wasn't satisfied because nothing seemed to keep the moisture in. I then read about moisturizing every night. And ever since I noticed the beautiful results I decided that, that would be my number one rule in keeping my hair healthy. Moisturize EVERY NIGHT. Even tho it was very difficult to get the routine going ,as I come home late at night often, I managed to get it written in stone. I spritz it with a little water and add my moisturizing oil, twist and sleep. In the morning my hair is soft and the curls are defined. It is the way to go,

Condition, condition and condition some more. Conditioning treatments, daily conditioners and leave-in conditioners will tame the wildest of Afros making it softer and easy to manage.

  9. 12/03/2014 / 12:47

My number one rule for keeping my hair healthy is staying as far away from heat as possible, then keep it moisturized.

  10. 12/03/2014 / 12:47

Golden rule #1 in my hair love is to be gentle with my hair. I used to be very rough & impatient with this crown…naughty, naughty! Now that I have truly fallen in love with my hair, I take my time & only finger detangle, I am very careful when styling, avoid tight hairstyles & heat, sleep with a satin bonnet or silky pillowcase. #hairtlc

My number one rule is to weekly deep moisturise my hair with Dr. Miracle Deep conditioning treatment. I then also alternate with different moisturising products! I have a thick strand and need to use a heavy product like a pudding or a hair butter on my hair! Works like a bomb for me!

To retain moisture I try to go for steam treatments as often as I can this does wonders to my hair combined with a good hot oil treatment. I wish we had tools such as the Q-renew (hand held steamer for hair) which will make life so much easier.
