Clicks Curls Durban, are you ready for us?

I am so excited to announce that Eleanor J’adore and I will be representing Aunt Jackie’s at the Clicks Curls event in Durban next month. The event takes place on Saturday the 9th of June at the Oyster Box hotel in Umhlanga.

Eleanor & I at the Aunt Jackie’s stand at Clicks Curls Johannesburg

The first Clicks Curls for 2018 took place at The Galleria in Johannesburg on the 24th & 25th of March. I was so excited to hook up with all my Johannesburg based blogger friends such as MzansiFro, Wooden Mirror, Aisha&Life, Natural Dilemma & Chocolate Hair Sisters to name but a few! It was the first time Eleanor and I did a talk together and it was such a surreal experience. Our talk is based around the state of natural hair in South Africa and it resonated with so many people who came out to hear what we had to say.

Quick sidenote: So many of you have been asking me about these pants. I got them at Spree. Click here for more like these. I also have a grey pair hehe

My look for day 2

The Clicks Curls events are always packed with wavy, curly, kinky and coily queens (and a few kings); all wanting to learn more about natural hair care.

Clicks pulls out all the stops while showcasing the natural hair brands they have on their shelves. These are just a few of my favourites:

Aunt Jackie’s

Besides being quite cost effective, Aunt Jackie’s was one of the first brands I used on my hair when I returned to natural 5 years ago. It was gifted to me by a friend who visited the USA back then. I think every naturalista has tried at least one Aunt Jackie’s product. My personal fave is the Quench leave in. It packs a punch and my hair always feels super nourished after using it.

Shea Moisture

That Curl Enhancing Smoothie though… WOW! #ThatIsAll One jar lasts me at least 4 months because I am practically holy over it

+

Maui Moisture

This one is a newbie but I really love their bright packaging and the Curl Smoothie is becoming a firm favourite at home.

+

Jane Carter Solution

The smell of these products is incredible. I’m a big fan of their elongating gel.

+

Carol’s Daughter

Their Black Vanilla range is divine! I’ve recently started using it and their hydrating conditioner is on my list of must-haves

+

Caivil

Caivil’s Hair Gro Essence is life. I like the tingle it gives my hair when I massage it into my scalp the evening before wash day.

Which are your favourite natural hair products?
