Sixteen days to the 2nd Annual Cape Town Natural Hair Fest and we cannot wait to show you what we have in store for you! The event takes place on the 17th of December at Canvas Event Space in Paarden Island, Cape Town. Tickets are available via Quicket.
A few weeks back we announced that South African brand, My Natural Hair will be one of our sponsors (Yasss!!) The brand has been making waves in the country. The brand has just turned a year old, added new products to their line ( that curl cream though!!) and rumour has it that they’re not done yet – watch this space!
On the 14th of November My Natural Hair’s brand manager, Catherine Williams, posted an empowering video on the brands Instagram account. The video captured both known and unknown naturalistas in Cape Town. The video features a lyrical stanza written and recited by Andy Mkosi. The poem invoked all sorts of feels within me (goosebumps) and I had to share it with you. Check it out and let me know what you think.

The video gave me goosebumps! It was like they we speaking directly to me! I love it! I love these types of videos that tells young girls that its okay to have a “kroes bossie kop”! You have to embrace it and rock it.❤
