I am single mom. working full time. i am all about budget. My holy grail products that were purchased at Clicks are the Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Shampoo and Conditioner, Aunty Jackie’s Curl La-La custard and my most recent discovery Originals Hair Mayonnaise! All budget products that work! At the moment my favourite is the Originals Hair Mayonnaise – my hair was breaking and looking very dull, this product really brought my hair back to life! The number 1 products i will be purchasing though are the Shea Moisture products. Heard loads of amazing reviews, just cannot wait to try it out….its expensive but i think it will be worth it! The ladies at Clicks (Wynberg) already know my face, I am always checking in to see if there are any new hair products to try out. I’m with you on the clicks natural hair isle, I can spend hours there. There are MANY holy grail products Clicks have I absolutely love, such as the newly discovered JBCO – Castol oil. I love the nourishment it gives my hair. ORS olive oil – love the smell and texture it leaves my hair with. The Garnier Aloe/Advocado Oil Shampoo/Conditioner and Mask – need I say more. I absolutely love these products and love how soft it makes my hair feel. I am almost too afraid to use it all up…*sigh*
Those are it for now, but am very keen to try the Aunt Jacky’s products (as soon as I run out of my current stock…hehehe).

Ooooooh, I’ve been trying to finesse myself a ticket but I had no luck. Think I need to work harder next time but my holy grail product at click would be NATURAL WORLD conditioner. I have the Argon, Chia Seeds and Coconut oil ones so far and hope to have the entire collection by the end of the year. I love it cause I use it as a shampoo, conditioner, leave-in and deep conditioner with my homemade edits of cause.
Hey. I have used Aunty Jacky, the Palmers range, Cantu and Design Essentials. At the moment Cantu is winning all of the medals plus 2nd and 3rd place. Why? Well other than the fact that my hair is soft and the curls are prominent, Cantu has the smell of all the tropical and citrus fruits together. If you know me, you know that I love fruit. Being able to smell like that is the best thing for me. Plus everyone I encounter smells it as well and it really truly uplifts my and everyone else’s mood. So yes… The Cantu range is my holy grail.

My current holy grail is the Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Plaiting Pudding Cream and the Afro Moisturizing Butter!! These work wonders on my 4C hair, they moisturise and make it so soft that i can run a comb through.I used to say i have hardcore hair (hardto comb) but now i have changed my tune. I take them with me whenever i go to the saloon and the stylist applies them before doing a protective style. My latest holy grail product at Clicks is the Cantu Leave-In conditioning cream. It leaves my hair super soft. My fingers literally slide through my 4b/c kinks and coils. After using it as part of my LOC method it leaves my hair feeling really soft and smelling fresh!
Another holy grail is My Naturals Strengthening Oil. I use this for almost anything – as part of the LOC method, just giving my hair a hot oil treatment and just to touch up my old kinks and coils when they look like they need extra love and care. And also, it’s a lekker local product 🙂
The Clicks natural hair isle happens to be heaven to me. I literally go in to Clicks shops in every mall I go to, to check what products each one stock. My HOLY GRAIL product has to be the Curl Care by Dr Miracle Boosting &a Defining Leav In Conditioner. This product not only smells good and makes my hair feel good but it gives my hair that bounch and extra definition it needs. Oh and that tingling feeling on the scalp that comes with it, is just amazing!!! This product definitely knows how to put a spring in a curly girl’s step and have her feeling SUPER CONFIDENT.

Hello ☺ My holy grail products in winter for styling are Cantu leave in as it leave my hair moisturized and soft as well as afrobontanics curl activating cream which give my hair that definition I look for.
My holy frail for summer is Aunty Jackies leave in conditioner as it’s lighter than Cantu so it doesn’t weigh it down in the summer for that afro look and afrobotanics curl activating cream.
My wash day favs are the tresseme botanics conditioner and because I have a damaged scalp due to relaxers I have to use a zinc shampoo or shea moisture black castor oil shampoo. I mix it up ☺…. whew… Lol now to deep conditioning I use the olive oil deep treatment mask or shea moisture raw shea butter mixed with almond oil every week.

MY HOLY GRAIL #CLICKSCURLS PURCHASE is BLM curl hydrate pudding with a bit of Clicks coconut oil as well as Clicks olive oil this is so effective and cheap.

This would be so awesome.I’ve been natural for one year and I’ve just recently gained my confidence in my natural hair. I’ve gone through the various transitioning phases and I’ve been at that ” eish wat gaan aan met jou hare” ” is your hair curly, wavy, dry or what” phase for a while. I just started learning how to properly care for my hair and using products that my hair likes. I attended my first natural hair festival/gathering (My Hairstory) and it was amazing. The natural hair community is sooo beautiful! That being said ,I am a complete product junkie! I literally have a basket filled with products all purchased at clicks of course. I have a few staple products that I use religiously. 1). Aunty Jackie Curl lala omg this product defines my curl so beautifully. 2) Tresemme Botanique shampoo and conditioner, this cleans my hair nicely, gives it moisture and makes my hair easy to detangle. 3) Tropical Isle Black Jamaican castor oil and clicks coconut, almond oil, jojoba oil, I massage my skull with these oils and I can truly say that it has added to the growth and volume my hair now has. 4) Twisted sister deep conditioner and cantu leave in conditioner, omw these products have given my hair so much moisture, bounce and strength. 5) Thank God for Shea moisture! I recently purchased the curl conditioner and style milk, still hoping to get the curl smoothie, but my curls are so defined now and soft. Even my day 5 hair still looks great when I use this! I have asked my mother to join me on this journey. She has a more kinkier texture and I’ve purchased the Au naturale range for her. I am literally in clicks thrice a week. OMG….I most definitely would say Design Essentials is my “holy grail”. Not only does it smell exceptionally good but it leaves me feeling great about myself . The comb just glides through my hair when I use DE conditioner, the DE coconut water curl refresher leaves a bit of a sparkle in my curls and I have totally fallen in love with the DESIGN ESSENTIALS range. Winning the tickets will be super exciting as it will be my first “event” since going natural. It will be a year since I started transitioning and it will be a welcome birthday gift. My Holy Grail go-to is definitely ORS Curls Unleashed. I’m IN LOVE with this brand because the smell leaves a lasting impression on me and those around me. The first time I used it, my hair was on CLOUD NINE! The softness and definition of my curls was beyond POPPING. I have been “Nattie-turalising” since 2013, and they have been the best on this journey. During that time, I wasn’t really confident in wearing this wild-flower bush of mine (no pun intended- “Curls Unleashed”), but seeing other naturalistas, I have gained confidence in those who wore it with pride.

With that in mind, I am the biggest fan of Clicks’ 3 for 2 Beauty Sale(s). I could literally stand in that aisle for hours, reading through ingredients and ooh-ing and aah-ing over new products I come across or just squealing when I see products I’ve only ever seen online. It’s really encouraging to know that one of the biggest retailers in SA is branching out and catering to a market that’s had to be satisfied with the bare minimum (but that’s a political story for another time; it’s too cold and early for all that, anyway!)
On to happier things: #NaturalHair
From a young age, I was always taught to buy a set of products, “If you buy a kind of shampoo, you need to buy the conditioner” (and then serums and deep conditioning creams came along). And if you got them all in a fancy coloured box, honey, you’re golden!
Not so when you transition, experimenting is the name of the game. Trial and error and learn-by-doing is the only way you’ll know what works best for your tresses. Even if you’re a full-blown #Naturlista, the same rules apply. Sorry to say, but if you don’t have at least three stages and 4-7 products come #WashDay, you’re doing it wrong. I’m obsessed with Aunt Jackie’s Knot On My Watch (together with my own water and aloe vera juice mixture and hot coconut oil), for my pre-poo. Love, love, love the Palmer’s Olive Oil Deep Conditioning Packs. Cantu’s Cleansing Cream Shampoo and Hydrating Cream Conditioner (or else Tresemmé Naturals/Botanique Conditioner) is a must for the actual wash. I either do (a diluted) Aunt Jackie’s Quench or Cantu’s Leave-in Conditioning Repair cream, after. Once my scalp is nice and clean, I massage it with some tea tree oil to get some circulation going and to stimulate growth. For my weekly moisturing (depending on what season we’re in), I love the Flaxseed Recipe line from Aunt Jackie’s for my LOC treatment – Soft All Over Multi-purpose Oil and Seal It Up Butter. Or else, it’s Argan Oil and Shea Butter.
I could go on and on about the Jamaican Castor Oil as well and am dying to get my hands on some Design Essentials (anything) – but only when I win the Lotto. Junky-ing is expensive work!

I just love the @auntjackiescurlsandcoils range! The Curl La La is amazing and makes my 4c coils pop when applied it makes my hair super soft and it gives it an amazing shine. I use the Oh So Clean shampoo and In Control conditioner for my wash and it doesn’t leave my hair feeling dried out and stripped at all. I also have the Fix My Hair masque that I use as a deep conditioner every two weeks whe I use my Purify Me cowash this leaves my hair feeling super soft and the masque is a great way to detangling as well. But I do have the Knot on My Watch detangler that I use to detangle my hair it gives it amazing slip ideal for detangling my 4c hair. I have the Don’t Shrink that I will be trying out for the first time this weekend to give my hair some gorgeous curl definition. I watched some videos and saw its amazing for that so Im super excited!! I also have the Quench Leave in that I use as the “L” in my LOC method, followed by my “O” which is the Soft All over All Purpose Oil and then my infamous Curl La La! I literally just realised how many prodcust I actually use of Auntie Jackies because I just LOVE it so much!! So my favourite #naturalhair product has got to be @AuntJackiesCurlsandCoils #ClicksCurls 🙂
My other favourite #naturalhair product is @palmers @palmers_sa Coconut Oil Strong Root Spray. I need to replenish my stock on this product asap at @clicks ! I use it to spray on my scalp especially my edges and it has helped me thicken up my edges amazingly. Apart from the fact that it helps with regrowth of thinned parts of the head it also gives shine to the hair!I just love this product #ClicksCurls

Firstly, I am a hot mess when it comes to being a #Natty. I basically work on the trial and error system and follow advice from virtually EVERY page on the internet. My monthly shopping trip to Clicks is always a confusing one as I never know which products will work for my hair.
Recently, I have had great success with the Tresemme Botanical range and Aunty Jackie’s Ooh La La and Flaxseed Gel. All this combined with my Mandy’s Mix is a recipe for success as my girls are popping for daaaays, even in this horrid winter weather.

Hi, I use the Cantu range and I absolutely love their leave-in conditioner, my hair is totally in its element when I use these products. After the the leave-in conditioner I use the Curl Chemistry Activating Cream. That’s an ah ha moment for my hair. I would love to try out the design essentials & and the shea moisture range as I’ve read some good reviews on both of them. I have two Palmers deep conditioning treatment is simply amazing and has done wonders for my transitioning hair. I love how my hair curls while I am treating it with this deep conditioner. Also the entire Cantu product range is so amazing it makes me want to cry with happiness lol. My favourite is the Shea butter curling cream by Cantu. I love my kroes hair but never thought I would be able to have curls like these, this curling cream gives me the most defined curls and shringake and frizz are minimal. I would reccomend these two Clicks purchases to all the naturalistas out there.

I have found my happiness finally! I’ve been loving Aunty Jackies but I’ve found something else now. Cantu Moisturizing Cream “angels go aaaaaah”. I am still trying to figure out which products is good for my 4c hair. But i do like Black Pearl’s shampoo. I love Aunty Jackie’s All purpose Oil.The smell, and the fact that you can really use it for hair and body is the best! My Natural’s Moisturising butter is amazing. I normally plait my hair thick singles at night after putting the butter on, and comb it out the next day.It leaves my hair feeling so soft, like marshmallow soft, and healthy.

Okay …. so I’ll be honest . I have been natural for 4 years and I have a few confessions. I do not do protective styling naymore, I dont sleep with the silk Bonnet . I do not wear more than 2 hair styles. And when I say hair styles, i mean i just put on a head band. Why am I like this? After years of being crazy about my natuiral hair. having crazy amounts of products. Doing hairstyles. Even trying to relax my hair for like 2 minutes and then rinsing it so fast that my life depended on it . I have come to the realization. It was never about my hair . It was being grateful for what I am blessed with . Being content with who I am. I stopped being natural for the movement but went natural for my sisters to see that self confidence comes from within. You cannot change the world unless you start in your own house. So my baby sister went natural 3 weeks ago. She didnt want to go to a hairdresser. she wanted me to do her big chop. As silly as it sounds. It was huge privileged me . She trusted me that much . So I would like to take her to the #ClicksCurls #Clickshairconvo to see other naturals and see what the world is like. To make her see at 15 years old. She is doing well. By the time she is 21, she will be where I am at emotionally and mentally at 26 years old. My current routine. I use afrobotanics. Only because, out of all the products i have used before. It is the only product, when I have to comb out my hair. I do not have to use so much conditioner for my 4c dry hair. also, i do not air dry my hair anymore. I have to do a natural blowout at least once a week to retain length. Yes it sounds simple, but it works. I would really love to go to fest , owever, im planning a wedding and Fiancee and put me on a budget . lol.

Hi Amanda. #ClicksCurls has been my go to since day 1. Since before I knew natural hair was a movement. I started with the twisted sista range because that was the only natural product available and because I wanted my hair like the pic on the packaging. My must have product in the #clickscurls range has to be after using many other products, has to be aunt jackies curl la la. I always end up coming back to this product.What I like about it is that is not too thick or too thin in texture which gives me the lovely definition without drying out my hair and leaving it too hard. Plus the smell is divine! I also love aunt jackies oh so clean shampoo, it cleans my hair PROPERLY, without leaving it too frizzy and sucked out of moisture.
My go to product is definitely the palmers conditioner. So far, no other conditioner does the thing for me.

My holy grail is the Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioner! Love the way it makes my hair feel, so light and because i have low porosity hair, this product actually penetrates into the strands of my hair leaving my curls popping! Aunty J’s curl la la is my other go to! defines my curls, smells amazing, and I love how moisturised my hair feels! also, it penetrates into the strands! Guuuuur! I have decided to transition and recently went for the bg chop and as a result I have tried multiple products to find the perfect match.
