I received the Babyliss Liss Brush 3D on the 1st of December, a lovely early Christmas gift from Clicks. I have been admiring paddle heated brushes for awhile as some of my favourite naturalista’s make use of them for styling their hair.
The brush is light weight and very easy to use. It has 3 heat settings, 160; 180 and 200. Being the typical paranoid naturalista that I am, I kept the brush between 160 and 180 degrees. The Liss Brush 3D is quite interesting as it has 3 different bristles. The first set of bristles is more like a comb actually. The primary focus of which is to detangle your hair, and it does this so very gently. The second set of bristles are made of silicone and are quite flexible. These bristles are meant to keep your hair shiny and it does the job quite well. The third set of bristles are of course the ceramic heated fins, these are used shine to straighten your hair as you brush. The brush also has frizz controlling ion generators that removes all static and leaves your hair with a stunning shine.
What I loved most about it is the fact that is doesn’t flatten your hair like other heat styling products. There was still loads of body in my hair and I could wear my hair big, just the way I love it!
The heated smoothing brush also comes with a heat-resistant insulating mat and it is small enough to carry in your bag. The absolute best feature for me personally however, is the fact that the brush automatically switches itself off if it has been on for an hour – a blessing for forgetful souls such as myself.
The Babyliss Liss 3D brush is available exclusively at selected Clicks stores and it retails for R799.00.
